2012

Back in June 2012, The Tree Ring previewed a beautiful batch of new songs downtown San Diego at Luce Loft. Featuring the classical group Camarada, the new tracks will make up The Tree Ring’s sophomore album, which is being funded in part by The San Diego Foundation/Creative Catalyst Grant. Film maker Destin Cretton was on hand to capture the moment, adding to his amazing collection.

Thomas C. Ackerman Foundation

The Thomas C. Ackerman Foundation has generously funded several Camarada projects. With these funds Camarada commissioned a composition by world renowned American violinist/composer Mark O’Connor ~ The Fallen for flute, string quartet and double bass. Recently funds from this grant supported the The Harmony Project: Paint A Piece children’s series at The New Children’s Museum. Ackerman Foundation Commission “The New Rule” by John Lorge
